We are delighted to welcome you to Delivering for Nutrition in South Asia — our annual gathering of researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working to accelerate progress on nutrition across the region.

Venue

The conference will be held at  Marriott Hotel, Kathmandu, starting from December 2, 2025 (8:00 am onwards).

Visa Requirements

Participants are responsible for verifying their specific requirements and securing their own visa.

Please check the visa requirements specific to your country and your planned duration of stay. Please contact the nearest Nepal Embassy or consulate or visit the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more information: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

• Indian citizens do not need to apply for the Nepal visa. Please bring proof of identity, such as your Election Card that is issued by Election Commission or passport.
• Nationals from SAARC countries other than India will be issued gratis visa for up to 30 days for the first time in a year.
• Nationals of other countries can apply for a visa at any of the Nepalese missions abroad. Visas can also be acquired from points of entry into Nepal.

For most visitors, we recommend getting a visa on arrival.

Documents to be carried when traveling internationally

1. Passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended date of travel.
2. Printed copy of visa, if applicable
3. Visa invitation letter provided by the Conference Secretariat (provided in your Presenter Materials Dropbox Folder)

Airport Transfers

Several reliable transfer options are available from Tribhuvan International Airport. Prepaid taxis are the most common and dependable.

Accommodation

Rooms can be booked on a direct payment basis at Hotel Marriott, Kathmandu. As an alternative, participants may check the availability of Fairfield by Marriott, Kathmandu, located within 1 kilometer of the conference venue.

Security Update

In September 2025, protests in Kathmandu over a social media ban turned violent.

As the situation has remained stable over the month following the protests, the Conference Secretariat has decided to continue with plannign for the conference in Kathmandu. We continue to monitor the situation closely with our in-country co-hosts and other credible sources. Updates will be shared here as they become available. Thank you!
