As the nutrition community in India is steadily ramping up its collective action towards the goal of attaining malnutrition-free India by 2022, the nutrition research community, along with high-level policy stakeholders from the NITI Aayog, relevant ministries, and development partners gathered at a day-long event on "Delivering for Nutrition in India: Insights from Implementation Research" in New Delhi on 24 September 2019.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) undertook an evaluation of the impact of MFS on the agricultural knowledge of farmers in UP and organized a one-day stakeholder workshop in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on September 12, 2019 to share the results and findings of the study. The event was jointly hosted by IFPRI, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh – Mr. Surya Pratap Shahi – as the Chief Guest.

CSISA, with additional support from USAID/Nepal funded and CIMMYT led Nepal Seed and Fertilizer Project, is organizing a Regional Dialogue on “Innovations for Advancing Farmers’ Use of Balanced Nutrient Application in South Asia” on September 5, 2019, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Department of Planning of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MOALI-DOP) organized its second back-to-back national-level events under the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-funded project Agricultural Transformation and Market Integration in the ASEAN Region: Responding to Food Security and Inclusiveness Concerns (ATMI-ASEAN) on 13-14 August 2019 here.

The Lao PDR research team for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-funded project, Agricultural Transformation and Market Integration in the ASEAN Region: Responding to Food Security and Inclusiveness Concerns (ATMI-ASEAN), presented the current progress and preliminary findings of their policy study entitled Cross-border Maize Value Chain Analysis in Xiengkhuang Province during the 2nd Lao PDR National Project Steering Committee (NPSC) Meeting held on 31 July 2019 at Vansana Riverside Hotel here.

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) organized back-to-back national-level events under the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-funded project Agricultural Transformation and Market Integration in the ASEAN Region: Responding to Food Security and Inclusiveness Concerns (ATMI-ASEAN) on 22-23 July 2019 here.
