ONBOARDING WORKSHOP OF THE SEARCA CONSORTIUM FOR AGRICULTURAL POLICY RESEARCH INITIATIVES

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), through the Network of Policy Advisors and Analysts (NePAA), participated in the onboarding workshop of the SEARCA Consortium for Agricultural Policy Research Initiatives (CAPRI) held on 27–28 April 2026 in Los Baños, Philippines.

The two-day workshop brought together representatives from national research institutions, development partners, and regional organizations to strengthen collaboration on agricultural policy research across Southeast Asia. Discussions focused on institutional anchoring, expanding regional research networks, and supporting long-term sustainability for advancing inclusive and resilient agrifood systems across the ASEAN and BIMSTEC regions.

The dialogue also convened representatives from the ASEAN and BIMSTEC Secretariats, further reinforcing momentum for regional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and evidence-based policymaking to support sustainable agricultural transformation.

Through its engagement with CAPRI and regional partners, IFPRI continues to support stronger research–policy collaboration and data-driven approaches for shaping resilient and inclusive agrifood systems across South and Southeast Asia.
