Policy Roundtable Meeting

This meeting is part of the ‘Consortium for Scaling up Climate-Smart Agriculture in South Asia’ (C-SUCSeS) project, which is a four-year joint initiative between the SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC), IFPRI, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the SAARC Development Fund (SDF). The Programme fosters partnership and cooperation between the SAARC governments, National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems (NARES), and IFPRI on the Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) agenda.

SAC in collaboration with IFPRI organized a one-day Project Steering Committee and a two-day Policy Roundtable from October 27 to 29, 2023 at Kandy, Sri Lanka. The roundtable brought together policymakers, researchers, extension agents, civil society organizations, farmers’ organizations, and private sector organizations to share evidence and discuss policies, strategies, and programmatic approaches for scaling up the adoption of CSA technologies by smallholder and women farmers in South Asia.
