IMPACT EVALUATION TRAINING

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), South Asia Office, is organizing a training program on the Best Practices and Methods in Impact Evaluation of Agricultural Research and Development Program from April 18, 2022 to April 23, 2022.

The program is intended for young Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) / University faculties, students with recent PhDs (Agriculture Economics/ Economics/ Statistics/ Agriculture Extension), and officials engaged in research from government ministries / departments / financial institutions, and civil societies. The training will consist of lectures on best practices in conducting field surveys, analyzing data, and using advanced methods for impact evaluation.

Specifically, the training will consist of lectures and hands on practice on Randomized Control Trials, Propensity Score Matching, Coarsened Exact Matching, Synthetic Control Matching, Difference-in-Difference, Inverse Probability Weighting, Regression Discontinuity Design, Instrumental Variables, and Endogenous Switching Regression etc. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss and develop collaborative research plans.

Registration: All interested applicants from the organization should complete the application form for this workshop. There are no registration fees.

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 10, 2022, and acceptance decisions will be made by March 22, 2022.
