The lockdowns in South Asia has most likely triggered the largest disruption of livelihoods in human history, affecting over 1.7 billion people. As the impact of COVID-19 grows, IFPRI South Asia continues to expand its analyses on food and nutrition security.

Blog post in this edition includes, COVID-19 and opportunities of agri reforms, ways to ease supply chain hurdles beyond price control, impact on Nepal’s fertilizer imports, how school meal programs are continuing to cope with the pandemic, impact on livestock sector and economic recovery post COVID-19.

We are pleased to welcome two new co-editors for the IFPRI  South Asia COVID-19 blog series Samuel Scott and Kalyani Raghunathan. We would also like to thank our outgoing co-editors Devesh Roy and  Rasmi Avula. They had both provided initial editorial support, to kick off the IFPRI SAR COVID-19 blog series.
