Objective:
The project aims to use an action research mode along with capacity strengthening to develop a knowledge management system that shares agricultural system innovations to rural parts of India. The KM system will inform an interactive internet-based platform that facilitates knowledge and experience sharing between various agri-stakeholders, including: male and femail farmers, extension agents, agricultural scientists, agro-industries, agri- financing institutions, policy makers and planners.

Approach:
Document the process of extension system research in order to (1) conduct an evaluation/field review of existing extension models to analyze exciting ICT applications and identify entry points that would enable increased efficiency for extension using a KM portal (2) establish and test the KM Platform under different extension models. Additionally, capacity strengthening activities will be conducted to ensure participants have the skills to both use and contribute to the KM internet portal.
